(December 1, 2023) As it does each semester, the Center for Business Studies and Innovation in Asia-Pacific’s (CBSI) Executive Board Board met twice in the fall, first on September 8th and then again on December 1st. The Advisory Board, which gets together once a semester, met on October 27th. CBSI is very fortunate to have engaged, supportive and resourceful Executive and Advisory Boards that are committed to strengthening and growing the Center.
The Executive Board consists of University of San Francisco faculty with academic interests and expertise in the Asia-Pacific region, while the Advisory Board is composed primarily of community leaders with business interests and expertise in the region. The two boards collaborate on strategic planning and funding raising. A priority for both in 2023 was CBSI’s participation in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit in San Francisco, in particular, CBSI-hosted events and APEC-related opportunities that directly benefited students. Looking ahead, much of the focus for 2024 will be on preparing for CBSI’s 10th Anniversary and securing the Center’s long term financial security.
