(August 24, 2023) The Center for Business Studies and Innovation in Asia-Pacific (CBSI) hosted leaders from Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics who visited the University of San Francisco in August. Dean Chen Yuping, Professor Zhou and Professor Zhang from Xinjiang University’s School of Business Administration came to USF following meetings with CBSI Executive Director Xiaohua Yang, Associate Director William Ktsanes and USF Global Student Ambassador Program (GSAP) students at an Academy of International Business conference in Ningbo, China. Xinjiang University is in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China’s far northwest.
After a tour of campus, the Xinjiang University leaders met first with USF School of Management Dean Dr. Otgo Erhemjamts, Executive Director Yang and Associate Ktsanes, and later with CBSI Executive Board members and GSAP students. Among the many topics discussed were opportunities for collaboration and student exchanges.
