Co-Presidents - Undergraduate and Graduate

Jocelyn Luciani (Undergraduate)

Jocelyn is a 4th year undergraduate major in Business Analytics with a minor in Economics. This is her 4th year with GSAP. Jocelyn previously served as Vice President during the 2021-22 academic year and, before going abroad to study in Italy in spring 2023, as President for the fall 2022 semester. She anticipates graduating from USF in May 2024 and describes her “dream job” as “working for the United Nations Foundation on one of their advocacy campaigns fighting for gender equality and youth education.”

Antonia Urovsky (Graduate)

 

Antonia is a 2nd year graduate student simultaneously pursuing a Masters of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies and an MBA. She accompanied CBSI on the summer 2023 trip to China and has led teams for USF’s Malloy Group consulting firm. As an undergraduate, Antonia played NCAA Division 1 soccer at Ohio State University. After completing her bachelor’s degree she spent two years living and traveling in Asia. Antonia anticipates graduating from USF in May 2024.

Co-Vice Presidents - Events

Poonam Kakodkar

Poonam is a doctoral student in the USF School of Education’s Learning and Instruction program. She accompanied CBSI on the summer 2023 trip to China and began working this semester as graduate student assistant for CBSI. Poonam has headed human resources in an international financial services company as well as in startups in the pharmaceutical, finance and education sectors. Poonam anticipates completing her doctorate in May 2026.

Riccardo De Simone

Riccardo is a 4th year undergraduate student majoring in International Business with a minor in Economics. He has experience working with a “green tech” startup where he managed their social media presence and helped build industry partnerships. He sees GSAP as an opportunity to hone his leadership skills and, drawing from his startup experience, helps build and strengthen the program. He anticipates graduating from USF in May 2024

Vice President - Partnerships

Nikita Tkachenko

Nikita is a 2nd year graduate student pursuing a Masters of Science in International Development Economics. He has been actively involved with CBSI and GSAP, for example collaborating with past GSAP President John Chetwynd on research that was presented at the Academy of International Business conference in China, attending an Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference in Seattle last summer, and planning events related to the APEC Leaders Summit coming to San Francisco in November. (Nikita is an international student from Russia. Due to visa concerns and the geopolitical landscape, he elected not to accompany CBSI on the trip to China.) He anticipates graduating from USF in May 2024 and plans to pursue doctoral studies.

Vice President - Membership and GSAC

Catarina Montez

Catarina (“Cati, pronounced “cah-tee”) is a 4th year undergraduate student majoring in Business Management. As a student in a Manager of Global Economy course last spring, she was one of several GSAP team members who  participated in the competitive Global Sustainability Challenge in collaboration with students from Middle East University in Jordan. Cati notes “GSAP’s commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and innovation aligns with my personal and professional aspirations” and ignites her passion to make “a positive impact on the environment and society.” She anticipates graduating from USF in May 2024.

Vice President - Graduate Programs

Drew Esterline

Drew is a 2nd year graduate student simultaneously pursuing a Masters of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies and an MBA. He lived and worked in Japan for five years as a Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) and has distinct research interests related to Japan’s Shinto religion’s support of LGBTQ+ communities and Vietnam’s innovative entrepreneurship culture. Drew will serve as a bridge for GSAP that connects the mostly undergrad students and programs on the Hilltop campus with grad students and their programs on the Downtown campus. He anticipates graduating in May 2024.

Vice Presidents - Technology

Alex Zeng-Yang

Alex is a 4th year undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science. He accompanied CBSI on the summer 2023 trip to China, spent much of his childhood in Australia, and has traveled extensively. Alex is a creative, resourceful, and collaborative problem-solver who sees GSAP as an excellent opportunity to further develop his communication, management, leadership, and technical skills. He anticipates graduating from USF in May 2024.

Co-Vice Presidents - Marketing

Vinson Chau

Vinson is a 3rd year undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. He’s done research for a nonprofit organization that facilitates socially responsible impact investing that empowers marginalized communities and currently works in the University’s Development Office. Vinson has a strong interest in Japanese culture – in particular, anime – and sees in GSAP an opportunity to explore career paths related to doing business in Asia. He anticipates graduating from USF in May 2025.

Chiacia Effendy

Chiacia (“Chia”) is a 3rd year undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. She accompanied CBSI on the summer 2023 trip to China, is an international student from Indonesia, and  has traveled extensively throughout Asia. Chia worked last  year as a student assistant for CBSI, is passionate about using her creativity to develop innovative ideas that have a positive impact; and has a strong interest in pursuing an Asia-focused career in international business. She anticipates graduating in May 2025.
