(January 31, 2023) CBSI joined the Center for Asia Pacific Studies to welcome in the Year of the Rabbit and co-sponsor a celebration of the Lunar New Year in the University of San Francisco’s Gleeson Plaza. As in past years, the celebration was an excellent opportunity to showcase and inform the campus community about the University’s various Asia-related programs. CBSI was well-represented by Associate Director William Ktsanes and students John Chetwynd, Angel Lopez and Yating Zuo from CBSI’s Global Student Ambassador Program (GSAP). They met with lots of curious students and spread the word about numerous opportunities and events associated with CBSI and GSAP this semester, including guest speakers, panel discussions, diplomatic visits, conferences, scholarships, internships, company visits, professional networking, and social events. The celebration culminated with an exciting lion dance performance by Leung’s White Crane Association. Many thanks to the Center for Asia Pacific Studies for their support and making USF’s 2023 Lunar New Year celebration such a great success!
